 U.S. stock futures inched higher on Monday, as investors continued to shake off Brexit worries and instead focused on the outlook for more monetary stimulus from global central banks. Stocks in Europe slipped Monday, with losses among Italian banks helping to hand the pan-European benchmark its first loss in four sessions. Shares in Asia rose Monday as investors bet that global central banks would introduce easing measures to encourage economic growth.

 The U.S dollar is currently trading at 1.11 to the Euro; 1.32 to the Pound and will buy 101.96 Japanese Yen or 14.67 South African Rand.

 Spot gold is currently trading at US$ 1 343.10oz. and platinum at US$ 1 058.90/oz. Brent crude oil is currently trading at US$ 49.67 per barrel.

International Markets

Shares in Asia rose Monday as investors bet that global central banks would introduce easing measures to encourage economic growth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 13 points, or 0.1%, to 17 897, while those for the S&P 500 index gained 2.70 points, or 0.1%, to 2 099. Futures for the Nasdaq-100 index climbed 3 points, or 0.1%, to 4 436.75.

Stoxx Europe 600 dropped 0.7% to end at 329.78. Germany’s DAX 30 fell 0.7% to 9 709.09, and the U.K’s FTSE 100 was lower by 0.8% at 6 522.26. France’s CAC 40 lost 0.9% at 4 234.86,

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rallied 1.3% to 21 059.20, and China’s Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.9% to 2 988.60.

The All-share index on the JSE was at midday 0.44% lower on 51 988 points and the Top 40-index traded 0.58% softer on 45 730 points
